Chores Done app walkthrough showing kids logging chores and parents approving pocket money

Built different on purpose

Most family apps are banking apps first. We just help your family manage chores and pocket money. You handle the cash offline; we handle the ledger.

Privacy-first

Your data stays yours

Chores Done does not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties. We're not building profiles on your kids to sell to the highest bidder.

Lifetime option

Pay once, keep it forever

Monthly and yearly plans are available — but many parents choose lifetime so chore tracking never lands on another subscription bill.

No banking integration

Bank of Mum and Dad

Track pocket money in real dollars without linking a bank account or giving your 8-year-old a debit card. You handle the cash offline; we handle the ledger.

How it works

Set up in minutes. Works on phones, tablets, and laptops — no app store account needed.

  1. Kids log chores from their phone

Children check off tasks or submit completed chores from their own login. No more chasing them with a clipboard or fridge chart.

    • Daily routines and one-off jobs
    • Pin to home screen — works like an app
Child logging a completed chore in the Chores Done app
  2. Parents approve with one tap

You get a notification when a chore is submitted. Approve or reject in seconds — you're always in control of what gets paid.

    • Approve from your phone anytime
    • Edit amounts before you approve
Parent notification to approve a completed chore
  3. Pocket money updates automatically

Approved chores credit the ledger in real dollars ($). Kids see their balance and savings goals — you hand over the cash when you're ready.

    • Real dollar amounts, not vague points
    • Savings goals with milestone celebrations

Everything a busy household needs

Routines, approvals, savings goals, and exports — without the fintech baggage.

Daily & weekly routines

Set chores that repeat daily, on weekdays, weekly, or monthly. Kids see what's due; you stop reminding them.

Separate parent & kid logins

Kids submit chores from their account. Parents review and approve from theirs. Everyone sees what they need to see.

Export your data anytime

Download chore history and balances as CSV or JSON. Your records aren't locked in our system.

Parent to-do list too

Track your own household jobs separately from the kids' chores. Assign tasks to a partner or leave them open for anyone to pick up.

A ledger, not a bank account

Chores Done is a digital scoring system for the "Bank of Mum and Dad." No live bank feeds. No debit cards for kids. You pay out pocket money in person when it suits you.

We're parents too

Chores Done started in a Melbourne kitchen with a whiteboard that never survived the week. We built the app we wanted for our own kids: chores get logged, pocket money adds up honestly, and nobody argues about who did what.

Because our own family uses it every day, we keep it simple, private, and free of the fintech baggage. If something's not working for your household, email us — a parent reads every message.

Why families switch to Chores Done

The three things parents tell us most often.

"The whiteboard was driving me insane, and I didn't want to give the kids debit cards just to track chores. Now Saturday mornings run themselves."
Parent of two primary schoolers
"The lifetime option sold me. I refuse to add another subscription just to manage routines — and my Year 4 kid loves watching the confetti when a goal is hit."
Parent of a Year 4 saver
"Knowing my family's data isn't being sold gives me real peace of mind. The kids submit tasks, it pings my phone, and we handle the cash ourselves."

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Chores Done linked to a real Australian bank account?
No. Chores Done is deliberately designed as a closed-loop tracking ledger. It does not pull real bank feeds, require financial credentials, or facilitate direct card payments. It functions as a digital scoring system for the "Bank of Mum and Dad," enabling parents to handle actual pocket money allocations offline at their convenience.
Can I delete my family's data?
Yes. Parents have a "Delete Family" tool in settings that permanently removes every chore log, balance, and child profile from our servers. If you downgrade from Premium instead, your settings are safely preserved in case you upgrade again. And we never sell or share your family's data.
Can teenagers and younger kids use it at the same time?
Yes. Each child gets their own login on a phone or tablet. They can see their chores and submit work; only parents can approve payments and change settings.
Does Chores Done work on Android and iPhone?
Yes. It runs in the browser on iPhone and Android. Add it to your home screen from Safari or Chrome and it opens full-screen like an app — no App Store download required.
