Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 July 2026
By using Chores Done, you agree to these simple rules. We built this for families, so we keep things clear and fair. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
1. Task Tracker Use
Chores Done is a family chore and task tracker. We do not provide banking, payment, or financial advice services. Balances in the app are a record kept between you and your kids — no real money exists within our system, so we cannot recover or reimburse "lost funds" inside the app.
2. Subscriptions & Lifetime Access
Payments for Premium tiers are processed securely by Stripe (web) or your app store (via RevenueCat). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and keep Premium until the end of the paid period. A "Lifetime" purchase guarantees you access to the Premium feature set for the life of the product without recurring fees. Prices are shown in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable.
3. Refunds & Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees that our services are provided with due care and skill. If something is genuinely broken and we can't fix it, contact [email protected] and we'll sort out a remedy, which may include a refund. Purchases made through an app store are also subject to that store's refund policy.
4. Account Responsibility
You must be at least 18 to create a family account. You are responsible for managing the security of your parental account and overseeing the sign-in accounts your children use. Child accounts may only be created and linked by a parent or guardian.
5. Acceptable Use
Use Chores Done for its intended purpose: managing your own family's chores and pocket money. You must not attempt to access other families' data, interfere with the service, or use the app for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that breach these rules.
6. Your Data & Termination
You can delete your family and all its data at any time from Settings — see our Privacy Policy for how deletion and retention work. If we ever discontinue the service, we will give reasonable notice so you can export your data first.
7. Service Availability & Liability
We work hard to keep Chores Done available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. To the extent permitted by law (and without limiting your consumer guarantees), our liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to re-supplying the service or refunding the amount you paid for it in the previous 12 months.
8. Changes to These Terms
If we make material changes to these terms, we will note the new "last updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
